We found this thee on our trip we made in 2020 in Sri Lanka. The tea is made from the most tender leaves. After picking off the leaves in the morning they are put in in thin layers for wittering. After wittering, they are carefully processed to a light to medium oolong tea. This tea has a wonderful fruity aroma and flavour.
We buy this tea directly from the Estate in Sri Lanka. The tea is grown under shade trees, to make sure the soil does not dry out. Birds are attracted to the trees and are eating the insects from the tea bushes. Because of this, they are not using any pesticides and only once a year fertilizer is used. The estate is on its way to becoming organic.
